Agnetha is most well-known because she was a member of ABBA than as a solo artist in Sweden. ABBA was one of the biggest pop groups of all-time worldwide and commercially. After leaving school at 15 Agnetha began her singing with Bernt Enghardt's group, and quickly gained fans. The singer was signed to a record deal by Enghardt and the debut album topped the Swedish charts. Bjornulvaeus, whom she later married was her husband and she joined ABBA. ABBA was among the top pop stars across the globe during the 8-year span. The group won the gold and platinum awards throughout the world. After ABBA was released, she had three albums -'Wrap Your Arms Around Me' as well as 'Eyes Of A Woman I Stand Alone', all that were hugely successful in Sweden and gained acclaim throughout Europe as well but did not make a huge impact in the U.S. As the '80s wound to a close, she went into an officially-resigned retirement. ABBA music became the base for a jukebox show called Mamma Mia!. She came out of retirement to make 'My Color Book' that reached eleven in the U.K. charts. She's received a positive review of her latest album 'A.'
