Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles, California on September 16, 1958. The circumstances were extremely deplorable. Her father worked as a salesman, while her mother was a school teacher. Jennifer, second in the family of four she was frequently at her mother's performance in the theater and extremely impressed. Jennifer's parents split after she turned five. Jennifer was a part of her young life living in British Columbia after her mom relocated there with four other children. Jennifer wasn't a student however, as a child she was very artistic. As a child, Jennifer was often the victim of bullying in schools across Canada. The actress began losing interest at the theatre during her high school years. The mother of her child encouraged her to take on different roles in productions. She was the one who encouraged all her children to discover an appreciation for performing arts. Then she began to act.
